We're lucky enough to be able to call on our talented community to volunteer their time, and faces, for Koha Apparel. Get to know one of the faces of Koha E-Commerce; Kiri-Rose Kendall.

Thanks again for supporting Koha Apparel and quite literally putting your body on the line. While you're not pulling a blue-steel look for Koha Apparel, what might we find you doing? Hahah well nowadays I usually am putting my blue steel on or embodying various characters on screen, or in the studio at ballet  class (long overdue in class), or walking my bulldog and lots of life admin. Prior to that you could find me (in London) working in education - teaching/training children & young people as well as adults.

What made you want to volunteer your time with Koha Apparel? I am an advocate for supporting communities and paying it forward. I am a big child advocate and I think that Koha is doing an amazing job of bringing people together and also not putting 'pressure' on people to donate a specific amount or donate x amount of time. Koha makes you feel like any contribution is appreciated and you feel like you are part of a community/something special.
What were some of your favourite pieces from our 'new season’? Oooo some of the pieces I absolutely love are: my undercover supreme top (wear it a lot), Lonely label snake print top, the Red long sleeve blouse (thats my go to audition blouse).

What would you say to encourage others to shop more sustainability? Try and read/know where the garments came from (where it was made/sourced). I think knowing its origin - both from material, designers, makers etc you have a bit more connection and appreciation. Buy local as much as you can and talk to the designers. More often than not they are proud to be part of the sustainable/sustainability family and you gain some amazing insight into the process!! If you are having a fashion cleanup, make sure you donate your clothes somewhere where you know they won’t end up in the rubbish/tip if they aren’t ‘sold.’

What are some of your favourite places to shop?
SHEN clothing (absolute fav)
